Vivyen Ray – VP Human Resources, SHRM-SCP
Ms. Ray has spent over 30 years in Corporate America and Higher Education in senior roles in human resources, labor relations, training and development, organizational development, coaching, instruction and talent development. She has taught Human Resources, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Development, Strategic Planning and Public Speaking at colleges including Warren, Bergen, and Essex County Colleges and at the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
Ms. Ray’s undergraduate degree is in Personnel and Labor Relations from the University of Baltimore. Her Master’s degree is in Human Resource Education from Fordham University. She is in all but dissertation (ABD) status at University of Phoenix. She is a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and a Certified Workplace Mediator with the Mediation Training Institute/Eckerd College. Ms. Ray is certified by the Center for Creative Leadership to administer 360 degree feedback assessments such as the Benchmarks 360 Suite and Skillscope. Ms. Ray holds a Certificate in Public Employee Relations from Rutgers University Law School.
Ms. Ray spent 22 years as an Army Reservist, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. She ran a small satellite Civil Affairs school at Ft. Dix, NJ, training non-commissioned officers and soldiers to prepare for post battle and environmental disasters across the world. Ms. Ray is a Trustee at Metropolitan Baptist Church where she is also the Assistant Director of the MetroWorks Employment Ministry.
