Sharon Bussey, Panelist
Sharon Bussey is the owner of BTII Institute, a training company specializing in Project Management, Microsoft and Professional Development. In 2009, Sharon learned about state grants to train unemployed and underemployed professionals. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) with many career opportunities, she decided to found BTII to prepare displaced workers from most industries and disciplines to take their PMP® exam and assist them in securing gainful employment using state grants. After completing BTII’s PMP® Program, alumni obtained employment at companies including: Abbott, ADP, AIG, Bank of America, CIA, Citi, Deloitte Consulting, EmblemHealth, GlaxoSmithKline, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, JPMorgan Chase, Konica Minolta, HSBC, MetLife, McKinsey & Company, Merck, Pfizer, Sanofi, TJX Companies, UBS, and UnitedHealth Group.
Sharon later diversified. Training was made available to professionals who were already employed but trying secure or advance their careers. New certification preparation course offerings were added including: Microsoft Suite, PMI-ACP® (Agile Certified Practitioner), PMI-PgMP® (Program Management Professional) and PMI-RMP® (Risk Management Professional). In addition to the classroom training BTII added Virtual Instructor Lead training for individuals, corporations and government. Sharon holds an MBA in Marketing from the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Computer Science from Pace University.
