Silver Rights: The Key to Saving the American Economy
The City of Newark
Invite you to attend “Silver Rights: The Key to Saving the American Economy;”
a weekend celebration in honor of the
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., not only stood for justice and equality, but also, jobs, entrepreneurship and financial freedom. He believed the way to truly be free is through employment and self-reliance. Silver Rights is symbolic to the financial freedom component of the Civil Rights movement.
The famous “March on Washington” in 1963 was formally called the “March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.” Job creation runs through Dr. King’s writings and his beliefs. Arguably, his actions had the largest social and economic impact on the African American and minority communities. Through his persistence and tenacity, Dr. King paved the way for federally funded job assurance for every person ready and willing to work.
It is our hope that we will be instrumental in moving the dream of economic freedom and job creation forward. This weekend will be a weekend dedicated in the memory of Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., in that we intend to cover a myriad of activities to assist with employment opportunity, spiritual enrichment and motivation, as well as assisting in establishing strong new business foundations.
